At BCP, we believe that every Motswana deserves a prosperous, equitable, and sustainable future. Our comprehensive 10-point plan is designed to address the critical challenges facing our nation and to unlock the potential of every citizen. This plan is not just a roadmap for development; it is a promise of hope, empowerment, and progress.
A High Wage Economy For All
We are committed to bringing back our exported jobs and creating 300,000 jobs by 2029. Our goal is to sustain a statutory living wage of P4,000 per month, ensuring that all Batswana can live with dignity. By focusing on local industries and innovation, we aim to make Botswana an economic powerhouse where everyone can thrive.
A Society that Cares for its Most Vulnerable Members
We believe in a compassionate society where no one is left behind! Our plan includes an old age pension of P1,500 per month, a means-tested child support grant of P300 per child and an unemployment grant of P600 per month. These measures ensure that the most vulnerable members..
Access to Quality Education for All
Education is the cornerstone of our future. We pledge to provide free and compulsory standard-based preschool, primary, and secondary education for all and double pass rates for JC and BGCSE. We will reintroduce school extracurricular activities and invest in the well-being, professional development and career progression of educators.
Access to Quality Health Care for All
Healthcare is a fundamental human right. We will conduct health checks for all every two years, ensure timely access to emergency and specialized healthcare for every Motswana and progressively convert clinics and hospitals into state-of-the-art 24/HR comprehensive health centers. These centers will provide both behavioral and physical health services.
“Learning or Earning” for Every Youth
Our youth are our future. We aim to drastically reduce the number of young people not in employment, education and training (NEET) by enrolling 170,000 unemployed youth in programs providing graduate programs and/or skills training partnerships.
A Green Economy
Our commitment to a sustainable future includes building a large-scale solar power plant to fulfil Botswana’s energy needs, generating 100% local electricity by 2029. We will incentivize households, farms and firms to invest in solar power, ensuring a greener and more prosperous future for all.
A Profitable and Supported Agricultural Sector
Agriculture is the backbone of our economy. We will place floors in both the livestock, arable, and horticulture sub-sectors. We will invest in essential infrastructure such as electricity, water, roads and internet connectivity. Additionally, we will develop a regulatory framework for the development of a cannabis industry
Access to Land and Decent Housing for All
Everyone deserves a home. We will accelerate land serving and reduce the waiting list for land allocation. A national credit guarantee scheme for young and low-income people will provide access to decent and affordable housing. Our institutions will also accommodate 100% of development of tertiary institutions.
Zero Tolerance for Corruption
Corruption undermines our progress. We will ensure a Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crime (DCEC) with legal and budgetary independence from the executive and secure tenure for its head..

We envision a government that is empowered and independent, yet accountable to its citizens. By promoting a culture of merit, results orientation, and ethical leadership, we will rebuild trust in our institutions.
